"I was introduced to the Maxx by a guy in my high school art class. I originally was only interested because the artwork was so cool, and spent many art periods learning figure drawing from it. After reading it, though, I realized that the story was just as good. Since then, I've been hooked, and have collected all the issues, taped the TV show, and even managed to find one of those Maxx action figures (white is). Typical rabid fan stuff, I know. Anyway, I'm now a junior at San Francisco State, majoring in Animal Science, and laboring under the delusion that I'll eventually get into U.C. Davis and become a veterinarian. In my spare time I work at a pet food store, go watch local punk bands at various clubs, listen to Bad Religion and They Might Be Giants at home (for the most part) with my cockatiel, Rugby, at home, and volunteer at the local animal shelter. I still draw quite a bit (I was an art major for a while), and like to tell myself that I'm almost as good as Sam Kieth (or any other "professional" comic book artist, for that matter). Um, I think that's enough rambling for now...."
