The Outback is an Internet mailing list devoted to writer/artist Sam Kieth and his stories, including "The Maxx," a comic book that was published by Image Comics (and was also adapted into an animated series on MTV). The name of the list is a Maxx reference, and this site has bios and stuff for the members of the list - "Dwellers of the Outback," get it? The site also has extensive info on Mr. K, so give that a look too.

On the list, we usually converse about topics related to Sam's work. However, since the Maxx comic is on hiatus at the moment (since issue #35), while Sam works on movies and other projects, we also discuss a lot of other diverse stuff, returning to Kieth discussions when he releases a new book, like the recent "Legs" one-shot, or when movie news surfaces. Maxxheads are an eclectic, open-minded crowd - pretty much anything goes. And it's usually pretty weird.

Sam himself is a member of the list, and although he's often busy with his projects, he pops in from time to time to give us the scoop and reply to our questions and comments. We always welcome new members, so join now!
